Operation Soup began on Wednesday 27th April.  This is a 6 week course, 2 hours a week, to help people make delicious soups from easy ingredients.  The first session made leek and potato soup, and participants were surprised at how easy it was to make, and what a yummy soup resulted!

Operation Soup ended on June 1st with a celebration soup competition, activities for children, and a show by Vegetable Entertainer Madame Zucchini who dressed as a courgette.....

We run regular courses, advertised on this website and on the Rhubarb Farm Facebook page, as well as through local networks and organisations in Bolsover, Bassetlaw and Mansfield districts.

7 people attended a Hen-Keeping course at Rhubarb Farm in April, learning all aspects keeping hens.  Here are course participants getting familiar with some of Rhubarb Farm's 100 hens.  One participant, Lynn, wrote about the course:
“ very informative in a relaxed atmosphere, hands on, lovely lunch and a tour of the farm for such a great fee..brilliant work..highly recommended. Thank-you”

Arnold U3A participants of the Christmas wreath-making course in December 2014 made some positive comments:

“Nice atmosphere, good clear instructions with plenty of examples.  Plenty of things to do and good preparation of materials. [Staff and volunteers] were really kind and helpful, a great experience and I would enjoy another course.”

“Very friendly and hospitable bunch of trainers and helpers.  Help was available at all times.”
