We welcome everyone to Rhubarb Farm and everyone who comes is a volunteer, as we all have something to offer and can all make a positive contribution to life on the site. We are totally inclusive and work together sharing strengths and weaknesses. You do not need to know anything about growing or outdoor work before you come, just want to work outside. You can work quietly away from others, or join in a group. We provide support, friendship and a place to feel valued.
When there's work to do, no-one can escape - even hiding in the sweetcorn does not work - we spotted you!
We can offer volunteering opportunities for a wide range of activities - heavy digging, barrowing, construction of raised beds, bed preparation, laying paths, making tool racks in the storage container, teaching growing to others, delivering newsletters or posters and lots of other jobs besides.
We would also welcome you if you have IT skills, and would like to prepare our next newsletter. Or help with admin or office tasks. These sort of jobs can be done from home!
If you would like to help fundraise for Rhubarb Farm we are open to suggestions, and have a lot of ideas for events to both publicise and raise money for the enterprise.
You can read more about volunteering on Rhubarb Farm by downloading our Brochure for Prospective Volunteers.
We welcome referrals from organisations supporting people with needs, as well as self-referrals.
If you are interested to volunteer, complete our volunteering application form and email the completed document to email@example.com, or, if you wish to make a referral or for more information contact the Rhubarb Farm office on 01623-741-210 during office hours (8.30-4.30).
